Lochend Close

LOCHEND & LITTLE LOCHEND CLOSE

There is sparse information available about these two closes, of which Little is the narrower, as all buildings on this site were demolished in the 196O's although the names were retained.

The Lochend name is thought to refer to the village at Restalrig, Edinburgh, whence came the closes‚ principally known residents, William and John Ferguson.

Now of limited aesthetic and historical interest, Little Lochend Close allows access to Panmure House.
