Background
Born & brought up in rural Perthshire. Attended Edinburgh College of Art, graduating in 1977. Was a textbook illustrator for 11 years and still bear the scars. I have lived in Edinburgh since leaving College.

Paintings
My paintings at the moment are all on the theme of the garden & landscape around the farm where I was brought up. This is the first time they have had public exposure.
I think you can tell from my work that I have a bit of an obsession with gardening, growing things and the seasons. Although my pictures are naturalistic there is a touch of the abstract about them. They are bigger than you might think, mostly about 40 by 50 cm image size, with a white mount & plain wood frame. All my work is in watercolour.
