This painting came entirely from my subconscious mind, and is full of deep and meaningful symbolism- I think it represents life- a journey with a certain end.

The chess board represents society, order and regularity, setting things up, and the structured man-made world.

The native suddenly leaping from behind the tree represents nature's interaction and the unforseen shock and surprise, the hand of fate that throws man's best laid plans into chaos.

Natural disasters from which man has no power and is but a pawn in a bigger game.

The wild man, tarzan swinging freely through the trees is contrasted with a well-dressed business man being pull along a path by a dog.

The shadow of Sherlock Holmes represents logic, an attempt to make sense of it all through investigating the clues.
